A total of 67 participants took part in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition hosted by the El Campo Lions Club on October 5, 2013 at Ricebird Stadium.
We would like to thank Coach Gillis and ECISD for allowing us to utilize Ricebird stadium, R&R Printing for getting our order of trophies fixed up, the schools for distributing our slips and Sonic all the participant coupons. We especially like to thank all of the participants that made the event a success, and to all the parents who not only brought their children out to participate, but willingly stepped in to assist the Lions Club members where needed.
These youngsters earned first-place honors in their respective age groups ranging from ages 6-15:
Boys 6-7: Ty Domel of Lane City
Boys 12-13: Dontavian Blunston of El Campo
Boys 10-11: Devon Earls of El Campo
Boys 14-15: Nery Enriquez of El Campo
Girls 10-11: Kendall Beal of El Campo
Boys 8-9: Kyle Barosh of El Campo
Girls 8-9: Alexia Alcalais of El Campo (Not pictured)
These 7 winners move on to a sectional competition, to be held October 19, 2013 in Needville. They could qualify for the Team Championships competition, to be held at Reliant Stadium in conjunction with a Houston Texans game.
